the harsh light of the jealous sun
is broken by the strength
of the ocean
we hide below
let her wrap around us

I was thinking about how we treat out weaknesses as faults and I was standing in the ocean too afraid to go in letting the hot sun hit me. So it kind of came together that way.

Since I was a child. I remember writing poetry in the 2nd grade and my teacher wanting to submit it to a contest. So it’s been an off and on again thing, but in the last 2 years I’d say is when I started getting serious about it.

aww, I started I think around 13 I think my dad taught me how to write songs and then it just progressed from there
